Nikki & Ben- the next chapter in Australia

It was sometime in June 2001 when Nikki met Ben. It was across the road at the "Walkabout" Pub in Newquay, Cornwall. England. They had had a few snakebites and realized that Ben lived across the Rd. too. He was on the 3rd floor of the Hostel and Nikki was on the 2nd. Since then they have travelled around the UK, Europe, and lived in Canada, Australia and NZ. Now after nearly 11 years together they are two months away from making the ultimate commitment, marriage!

Welcome Flat Trip

Here are some photos of our recent trip down the Copland Valley on the West Coast, 26kms from Fox Glacier Township. The tramp too us to Welcome Flat where there is a great hut(we camped though.) and the highlight the natural hot springs!

The hot springs! We visited them on arrival and first thing in the morning. Ben thinks that his eyesight improved after spending time in there....the magical powers of the springs apparently!

Great trip overall! Got eaten alive by sandflies as usual. Looking forward to our next trip in a few weeks. We have the Rippon Music festival this week at Rippon Winery in Wanaka...should be fun!
